Or the stuff on the menu is seasonal & it's in the wring season. On mine today is "Ham sandwich with Nectarine Salsa." Hello? It's February! Not only that, sounds pretty gross really.

Sad Day

What a sad morning it was, knowing that by the time these friends come home (for more than a leave), several of the group's children will be grown, or nearly so. Sad to know that they'll miss out on so much. Sad to know that this war will change these men that we know now, into different men. Doing Ok

I took Friday off, as it was payday & it's just easier that way. Yeah, I know that's an excuse. I actually did fairly well for a day that I wasn't really paying attention, because I went into the site where I keep track of everything & entered it all in there. On Saturday, I ate good until dinnertime, when we went to a friend's house for a barbecue. I'd have been ok, but the pasta salad I made was REALLY good (I did use ff dressing in it) & I had a few drinks, too. I really wasn't very hungry today.

So, it's my birthday. Yay. Anyway, I had a pretty good day, although I did go over a bit by having some Peanut M&M's as a birthday treat. But, hey, it could've been cake & ice cream. I'm a bit depressed today, no one in my family bothered calling to tell me happy birthday or even acknowledge that it was a special day at all. I'm done being nice to them. Getting Back At It

I don't know what happened, really. I think I just stopped caring for a few months there. Now my back hurts all the time, I'm always tired, it's hard to breathe & life sucks. So, I'm back at it. I'm not doing WW anymore, I'm counting calories & going to the gym, for now, at any rate. We'll see how that works out for me. If I can't get that to work, I'll change to something else, until I find what will work.
