A Little Sad

Labor Day

Yesterday was pretty much a write-off as far as "dieting" goes. My dad's birthday party was yesterday (his birthday is the 5th & we usually celebrate on Labor Day). I ate sensibly before we went & really only overdid it by eating a 2nd burger, since pretty much everything else was low-fat & healthy, but I had peanuts while watching TV last night, too. So, I'm back at it today.

Day Off

I take 2 days a month "off" & have what I want - today is the 1st one this month (I usually have them on our payday, although the next one won't be) I'm still feeling like I have a cold & we stayed up late again last night (Erin was at a movie & we had to wait up for him). So Flippin' Tired

We stayed up too late last night. Troy wanted to call his brother & tell him happy birthday, but he forgot until about 10pm or so & then he wasn't there & he talked to his SIL for awhile, then called his brother & they talked awhile, too. It was after 11 when we got to bed, which is late when you get up at 6. All I want to do today is sleep. And eat. I'm not going to do either one. It'll probablt be another late night tonight, we're expecting company & aren't sure when they'll be getting in.. I may take a nap after all. *now this evening I have a sick headache. :( I so don't want to be sdick, but I think a cold is coming on, I've been sneezing all day & I rarely do that unless I'm sick.

Pain

Very Busy Day

I'm absolutely starving today. I haven't blown it, nor have I really been tempted, but I am aware that I'm hungry. I'm looking forward to dinner, since lunch seems like it was a long time ago. I was very busy today, I cleaned the living toom, vacuumed, started some laundry, did the dishes, swept, did some more laundry, mopped, finished the laundry & then cooked dinner. This evening I went running around with my son, Erin, to spend his paycheck & then we ironed on some patches & stuff on the jacket he bought. I have to stay up tonight, at least until my daughter, Rhiannon, calls from the theater so I can pick her up (we have an 11pm curfew for kids under 16 & she's 14)

Not Hungry

It's very strange, today I'm barely hungry at all. Why is it, when I'm not eating right, I want to eat all the time, but when I change things around, I have very hungry days & then days where I'm not hungry at all? I know the eating all the time thing, is why I'm fat & when I'm eating right I'm actually paying attention to my body & when I'm hungry. I know that I eat a lot of times when I'm not hungry & then I eat way too much. I would probably be a healthy weight if I had never stopped listening to my body. I wonder when I stopped & why?

Week 1

This first week back on the wagon (of healthy eating) has been very good. I haven't cheated, although the opportunity has presented itself more than once. On Tuesday, the day I started again, Troy wanted to take me out to lunch. I made sure he took me somewhere that had good choices for me & I made good choices, too. Yesterday I planned my menu around what we were having for dinner, stuck with the amount I was allowed to have & stopped. I also turned down Pepperidge Farms cookies, which wasn't easy.
